Operated as a freelance SEO, providing online marketing expertise for a small portfolio of market leading companies across a broad spectrum of sectors. Clients included a national fire safety company, a large online recruitment web service provider. Also carried out work for locally based SMEs. Some of this time I got my first taste of remote work and working as a nomad SEO in SE Asia!

Led the SEO / Inbound Marketing strategy for Saltside Technologies AB (One of the largest startups in Scandinavia with investment from Kinnevik) working on their online marketplace sites in Ghana, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Pakistan. Worked on various PPC campaigns. Implemented onboarding, regular training and managed a team of Social Media executives in their respective markets (Ghana, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Bangladesh).

Reporting directly to Managing Director of Friday Media Group, managed day-to-day operations within BoatShop24 Ltd, a subsidiary of Friday Media Group , a magazine and web publishing company with annual turnover in excess of £2.2 Million and profits exceeding £600K PA. Provided direct management of Marketing and Web Development teams while providing Operational Management to Sales, Accounts and Admin teams with an overall daily responsibility for 26 members of staff.

I first began my online marketing career in 1999. During a time where we didn’t fully realise the power and scope SEO would have for businesses; it was quite the learning curve.
I have now proudly been part of the online marketing business for over 20 years and I’ve loved every minute of it. My client’s businesses have accelerated immensely over the decades and I’m thrilled with what I’ve been able to accomplish for them.
Today, I am the founder of consultancy organisation, Optimise; where I continue to provide comprehensive SEO, PPC and content marketing that is ahead of the game.
My love of helping clients with their online marketing challenges is as strong now as it was on day one. Alongside my existing commitments, I have several exciting new ventures in the works, to be announced in the near future.
